Dr Hile is a Sydney-based surgeon specialising in surgery of the wrist and hand, and peripheral nerves, with over 25 years of dedicated care for patients across the Northern Beaches and greater Sydney.
He completed a degree in mechanical engineering before switching to medicine at The University of Sydney. This combined background gives him a particularly broad and practical understanding of the mechanics and biomechanics of the hand.
After completing university, Dr Hile progressed to advanced training in Orthopaedic surgery in Sydney. This was followed by a year dedicated to research into bone healing, and additional specialised fellowship training focusing on the surgical management of the wrist and hand.
Since commencing private practice in 2001, Dr Hile has developed extensive skills and accumulated experience across thousands of surgical cases.
He has presented at state, national and international conferences on hand and wrist surgery. He has also served in leadership roles for the NSW Hand Surgery Association, having been both treasurer and president.
